I have a 4,800 gallon koi/goldfish pond. I have been noticing a film on the surface of the water. I was told it is possibly protein and that using a skimmer may help. I don't know which skimmer to get. The pond is approximately 16' x 10' x 4.5'. Does anyone know what this film can be? Whether a skimmer is what I need? Which skimmer I should get?
